AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM AND LOCATED AROUND THE CORNER

The Antiochia ad Cragum Archaeological Research Project (ACARP) has been conducting excavations at the site since 2004. We have operated a field school since 2011 and so far over 150 students and volunteers have participated in the field school and helped to uncover the ancient city. Students from all over the United States, Canada, and Australia have joined the team. In addition, we are partnered with Turkish universities and archaeology students from Atatürk University participate annually.

RAMADAN

The traditional month of Ramadan will start April 2nd until May 2nd during this period many muslims will fast. The public holidays after the Ramadan so called sugar fest will be from May 2nd until May 05th . Government institutions will be closed during these public holidays period.

ALANYA SUMMER SEASON 2022

Alanya is ready to start the tourist season for 2022. Unfortunately the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine causes another crisis. Tourists from both countries are very important to Turkey and the effect is already there because of the war. Let us all hope that this nightmare will be over as soon as possible and we can finally have peace around us.

PHOTO EXHIBITION IN ALANYA CULTURAL CENTER

A photo exhibition by the Finnish photographer CG Mannerheim (1867-1951) will take place at the Alanya cultural center from April 4-17th. The exhibition is called: across Asia from west to east and is organized by the Finnish embassy in Ankara. The photographs were taken by the Finnish military leader and statesman during his duty in 1906-1908 along the silkroad from Central Asia to China.
